Reflexology

Our Reflexology as a non-invasive treatment performed on the feet and on the hands. It is a simple, effective and natural therapy which uses manipulation with pressure of varying degrees.
Helping the body to heal and to balance all the body systems, stimulating an under active area and calming over active ones.

What can you expect from a Reflexology Treatment?

We provide reflexology treatments on a comfortable couch with the back-rest lifted to allow an ultra relaxing position for the client. A session usually last forty-five minutes to an hour, but your first treatment will be longer, as an in-depth medical history is taken which can take approximately 20 minutes.
Each reflexology session is tailored to the individual client, so treatments vary in length. At the start of the session, you will remove your shoes and socks and position yourself comfortably on the couch. Your feet will be cleaned with an antiseptic and the therapist will check for cuts or any sensitive areas.

How will I feel after the Reflexology Treatment?
During your reflexology treatment, you may experience the following sensations: Tenderness or slight discomfort Relaxation, sleepiness, or an increase in energy Warmth or sweatiness Twitching Runny nose or dry throat Expect to feel slightly space-out and very relaxed after a treatment. Also make sure to drink plenty of water, as you may develop a headache or lethargic feelings. These should soon pass, and you may feel lighter, more refreshed.

Questions About Reflexology:

Q: Who can have Reflexology?
A: Everybody. Reflexology is safe for children and the elderly. Even those with ticklish feet will love Reflexology, as firm pressure is used. However, caution should be taken with clients who suffers certain conditions e.g. thrombosis, diabetics. Women within the first 3 months of pregnancy cannot receive reflexology from me.

Q: How often do I need to have Reflexology?
A: It is totally safe to have Reflexology regularly. Typically, clients have a weekly treatment to help to relieve particular conditions and once they feel that their body is balanced, they might move to fortnightly then three-weekly or monthly for 'maintenance' treatments or purely for relaxation. Other clients have Reflexology on an ad-hoc basis, as a treat as it may be helpful with relieving stress and tension. The Therapist will work with you to establish the ideal frequency of your treatments.

Q: What should I wear for a Reflexology Treatment?
A: Anything! So even if you have a suit on, it doesn't matter. As I need to get to your bare feet, it is a good idea not to wear tights, or if you do, just appreciate that they will have to be removed before your treatment.
